With over 20,000 new Regional Mexican songs uploaded every month to platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, the competition has never been more intense. Today’s music landscape is louder, faster, and more saturated than ever—and for rising artists, cutting through the noise requires more than just talent. It demands visibility, mentorship, and real industry access.

That’s where Camino a la Fama comes in.
Led by the legendary Pepe Garza, Camino a la Fama is a nationwide artist discovery platform built to give emerging talent a real shot at breaking through. The program officially announced its 2025 expansion during a press event hosted by Publicist Tony Rocks at La Santa Cabrona, a newly opened restaurant and event venue in Whittier, California.

A Mentorship-Driven Platform for the Future of Music
Backed by a growing coalition of music industry leaders, Camino a la Fama is to expand into Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Chicago, with additional cities to be announced for 2026.
Unlike traditional singing contests, this initiative isn’t about short-lived fame or viral moments. It’s a real-world career accelerator that equips artists with:
- Mentorship from established music executives
- Hands-on masterclasses and professional training
- Performance opportunities on respected stages
- Direct feedback from A&R decision-makers and talent scouts
At the heart of the program is Pepe Garza, the influential media executive and radio programmer who has helped launch the careers of icons in the Regional Mexican genre. He’s joined by Host – Ricardo Rubio, Director of A&R at Warner Music Brian Plascencia, and Lorens Promotions, one of the most respected event organizers in the U.S. market.

“This is more than just a stage—it’s a masterclass,” said Garza. “We’re not only recognizing talent, but we’re giving them a real shot at breaking through in a genre that’s having a global moment.”
When asked by a reporter whether the tour would make its way to Los Angeles—a city with one of the largest populations of aspiring Latino artists—Garza responded:
“Yes, there is conversation on bringing Camino a la Fama to Los Angeles in 2026.”
Artists Compete, Fans Connect
Each tour stop features a live showcase where selected artists perform original songs or genre classics in front of fans, judges, and industry professionals. Winners move on to future showcases, receive in-depth mentorship, and gain exposure through digital platforms like BluestageTV, the official media sponsor of the tour.
“This is where the future of the genre begins,” added Lorens Promotions. “We’re creating a space where emerging artists are not just seen—they’re celebrated.”
Elevating the Regional Mexican Genre
Beyond talent discovery, Camino a la Fama is also a cultural movement. It aims to elevate the influence of Regional Mexican music—a genre dominating global Latin charts, with artists like Peso Pluma, Junior H, and Fuerza Regida leading Billboard’s top rankings.
By focusing on new voices, the platform is helping build the next generation of superstars—artists who are rooted in tradition but ready for a global stage.
